The new and latest version of WordPress is now available for download and update respectively, it brings some improvements and bug fixes over 1000, highlights the following:

• A new, more functional and attractive default theme called: Twenty Ten. (for the year 2010 and every year we have new topic)
• New API to customize in the areas: backgrounds, headers, Shortlinks, menus, types of post, and taxonomies.
• MU Union. You can manage a blog or a million from a single installation.
• Contextual help in the control panel, which has a new interface lighter.
• Update multiple plugins with one click.
• The admin can now use any name for the login.
• New Easter eggs.
• 1217 bug fixes.

For my part I will wait a couple of days before updating, in many cases it is convenient because of incompatibility may have some plugins I use and therefore cause discomfort.
